Tulsa races past Texas

TULSA, Okla. - The Tulsa 66ers (20-6) recorded their 12th-consecutive win in dominant fashion Saturday evening with a 112-96 home victory over the Texas Legends (11-12) inside the Tulsa Convention Center. Latavious Williams recorded 10 points and 14 rebounds for his seventh double-double of the season, Jerome Dyson posted a game-high 22 points and Cole Aldrich added 10 points, five rebounds and three blocked shots.

"Our guys are really competing at a high level right now," 66ers head coach Nate Tibbetts said. "Our guys were really focused tonight and committed on the defensive end. Offensively, we wanted to try to share the basketball and I thought our guys did a really good job of that."

Also scoring in double figures for Tulsa was Elijah Millsap and Robert Vaden with 17 each, Ryan Reid with 15 and Tweety Carter with 11. Millsap added a team-high six assists.

The 66ers, who led by as many as 29 in the second half, outrebounded the Legends 43-29 to improve to 13-2 this season when holding an advantage on the boards.

Offensively, Tulsa recorded 24 assists and shot 40-77 (.519) from the field, including 10-18 (.556) from beyond the arc.

Leading the Legends was Antonio Daniels with 15 points and 10 assists and Sean Daniels with a team-high 17 points and 11 rebounds.

The 66ers will return to action Jan. 27 and 28th with back-to-back road contests against the Springfield Armor.
