RIO GRANDE VALLEY'S SHAKUR SIGNS WITH WASHINGTON WIZARDS
The Washington Wizards signed guard Mustafa Shakur of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers for the third GATORADE Call-Up of the 2010-11 NBA Development League season. Shakur's call-up increases the number of current NBA players with NBA D-League experience, including players currently on assignment to their NBA D-League affiliates, to 81. In 23 games (all starts) this season with the Vipers, Shakur averaged 16.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.0 assists, helping to lead Rio Grande Valley to a 16-7 record. Shakur, who earned a GATORADE Call-Up last season from the Tulsa 66ers to the Oklahoma City Thunder, has scored in double figures in all but two of his games this season, and has averaged 19.2 points, 4.6 rebounds, 6.2 assists and 2.2 steals in his last 10 games. Shakur (6-4, 195) is a fourth-year pro out of Arizona, where he averaged 10.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 131 games over a four-year career. His 670 total assists rank third in Wildcats history and his 1,318 career points ranks 22nd.

Marqus Blakely led seven players in double figures with 25 points to lead Bakersfield past Springfield. Trey Johnson added 22 points and 10 rebounds. Craig Brackins, on assignment from Philadelphia, had 27 points and 14 rebounds for the Armor.
Ivan Johnson scored 39 points and Garrett Temple added 28 points for Erie in a win over Fort Wayne. Roderick Wilmont had 35 points for the Mad Ants.
Abdulai Jalloh had 32 points and Jamine Peterson added 27 points as New Mexico poured in a season-high 128 points in a win over Sioux Falls. Anthony Harris led the Skyforce with 30 points.
Michael Haynes tallied 23 points and 11 rebounds to lead Iowa past Reno. Curtis Stinson added 22 points and nine assists. Mo Charlo had 19 points and 11 rebounds for Reno.
Richard Roby scored 22 points as Rio Grande Valley extended its franchise-best winning streak to 10 games with a win over Dakota. Chris Johnson led Dakota with 34 points and 14 rebounds.
Brandon Costner had 21 points and 10 rebounds as Utah defeated Austin on VERSUS. Ryan Thompson added 20 points for the Flash. Kevin Palmer led the Toros with 22 points.
Jerome Dyson scored 22 points and Latavious Williams had 10 points and 14 rebounds as Tulsa won its 12th straight, defeating Texas. Sean Williams had 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Legends.
ALUMNI ACHIEVEMENTS: A look at NBA D-League Alumni in last night's NBA games:
33 players with NBA D-League experience competed in 13 NBA games last night, eight as starters.
Phoenix's Marcin Gortat had 11 points and 13 rebounds in a win over Detroit.
Philadelphia's Lou Williams scored 20 points in a win over Utah.
Orlando's Brandon Bass scored 18 points in a win over Houston.
