Tuesday's IronPigs-Chiefs Game Postponed Due to Rain
April 12, 2011 - International League (IL1)
Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
(Allentown, Pa.) - Tuesday morning's game between the Lehigh Valley IronPigs and Syracuse Chiefs at Coca-Cola Park was postponed due to rain. The contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader on Thursday, July 14 at 6:05 p.m. Each of the doubleheader games are scheduled for seven innings and only one ticket is needed to attend both games.
Due to the postponement, fans holding tickets to Tuesday's game can exchange each ticket for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining 2011 home game. All ticket exchanges must be made in-person at the Coca-Cola Park Ticket Office (no phone or internet exchanges). Ticket exchanges are subject to availability. Those holding tickets for today's game will be issued a parking pass upon exchanging their rain-out tickets for a future game. Fans with additional questions are asked to called (610) 841-PIGS.
The IronPigs now embark on a five-game road trip beginning Wednesday night at 7:05 p.m. with the first of a three game set against the Rochester Red Wings at Frontier Field. Lehigh Valley will enter the contest with a 2-2 mark following Monday's 4-3 victory over Syracuse in 10 innings.
The IronPigs return home on Monday, April 18, and battle their rival, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees in a doubleheader with Game One slated to begin at 6:05 p.m. Each of the doubleheader games are scheduled for seven innings and only one ticket is needed to attend both games. The first 2,000 fans 17 and under will receive a Ferrous Bobble Van courtesy of ServiceMark. Monday is also Dance Team Night #1 at Coca-Cola Park.
Tuesday's rainout marks the second such cancellation of the season following a postponement last Friday against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre due to wet weather.
Single-game tickets, mini-plan packages and group tickets for all IronPigs home games presented by Capital BlueCross, are on sale now and can be purchased at the Coca-Cola Park Ticket Office, online at www.ironpigsbaseball.com or by calling (610) 841-PIGS.
The Lehigh Valley IronPigs are dedicated to providing family-friendly entertainment and are the only Minor League team to offer bubbles to fans entering the AT&T Plaza and balloons for all children exiting Coca-Cola Park.
