April 12, 2011 - International League (IL1)
Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
One night after the PawSox exploded for 15 runs, they were handcuffed by Dillon Gee as Buffalo rebounded with an 8-1 victory. Gee allowed just a run on three hits in seven innings. Gee registered 4 strikeouts. Gees' opposite number, Kris Johnson, making his first start of the season, lasted just 2 and a third innings, surrendering 7 runs on 8 hits. Scott Atchison and Michael Bowden went the rest of the way for the PawSox. Atchison allowed just one unearned run.
On the heels of their 16 hit attack on Monday, Tuesday was a completely different story. Pawtucket managed 4 hits. Yamaico Navarro and Josh Reddick doubled and Ryan Kalish and Michael McKenry singled.
The PawSox (3-3) head to Syracuse for a three game series that begins on Wednesday at 2:20 p.m. Kyle Weiland (0-1, 12.00) faces Yunesky Maya (0-0).
