SL1 Pensacola Blue Wahoos

Tuesday's Contest Suspended by Rain

July 31, 2018 - Southern League (SL1)
Pensacola Blue Wahoos News Release

PENSACOLA, Fla. - Tuesday's game between the Shuckers and Blue Wahoos was suspended early due to inclement.

With one out in the top of the second inning, Daniel Wright was about to fire his 2-1 pitch when the umpires waved the players off the field and the tarp was rolled on top of the playing surface. After waiting over an hour and a half, play was ultimately suspended and scheduled to resume Wednesday at 4:05 p.m.

It is unclear who will take the hill when play resumes for both teams. Biloxi's starter, Cameron Roegner, threw only 24 pitches while Daniel Wright tossed 29. After the first game is completed to its full nine-inning duration, the two teams will play seven-inning series finale. RHP Wyatt Strahan (6-8, 6.72) is scheduled to start that game for the Wahoos against RHP Marcos Diplan (1-1, 3.34). Coverage can be found on the radio at 97.1 The Ticket/1490 AM Milton, CST, and www.bluewahoos.com. Again, first pitch for Wednesday's first game is scheduled for 4:05 p.m.
