Trupp Visits Villa Park for Chicago Wolves' Read to Succeed Program

Chicago Wolves forward Evan Trupp will visit Villa Park Public Library on Tuesday, Jan. 19, for the "Read to Succeed" program, presented by Butternut and J.U.L.I.E. Call 811.
The 28-year-old Trupp, who earned his college degree from the University of North Dakota in 2012, will speak to children at 7 p.m. at 305 S. Ardmore Avenue in Villa Park.
The Read to Succeed program teaches the importance of recreational reading and encourages children to use the many resources libraries offer. Trupp will discuss the benefits of reading outside the classroom and explain why it played an important part in his life as a college student and continues to do so as a professional athlete. One child will get the chance to dress up in a complete Wolves uniform.
Participants in the Read to Succeed program can win prizes -- including Wolves ballcaps, sunglasses, and tickets to upcoming games at Allstate Arena -- for setting and achieving reading goals.
Over the course of four months, Wolves players will visit libraries throughout the Chicago area and more than 17,000 children will take part in Read to Succeed activities.
