
Trocheck Boosts Spirit in SO

Vincent Trocheck scored the winner in a shootout, as the Saginaw Spirit topped the Windsor Spitfires, 5-4 on Thursday night at the WFCU Centre.
Kerby Rychel had a pair of goals (27 & 28), putting the Spits up 2-0 before the game was six minutes old.Stephen Alonge's third of the season at 15:28 made the lead 3-0 after 40 minutes.
But Saginaw dominated the second, firing 22 shots at Jaroslav Pavelka and tying the game on goals by Brandon Saad, Trocheck and former Spitfire Eric Locke.
Michael Fine (1G, 2A) made it 4-3 just past the midway point of the third.
But Saverio Posa pulled the home side back to even with an unassisted goal (4) with less than five minutes to play in regulation.
Trocheck scored a slick goal in the shootout to win it.
The Spits are right back at it on Friday night, as they visit the London Knights.
