January 27, 2012 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack is set for another three in three as they prepare to travel to Kitchener before returning home to take on the Guelph Storm and the Ottawa 67's. Fans are reminded that bidding for the 4th Annual Shorty's Eat your Heart Out Charity Dinner will take place on Saturday evening and Sunday afternoon in the South Concourse, with bidding closing at the end of the 2nd Intermission. The Eat Your Heart Out Charity Dinner offers fans a rare opportunity to have dinner with their favourite Attack player, so be sure to visit the Heart and Stroke tables in the South Concourse for more information.
Sunday afternoon will also be Special Olympic's Big Ticket game. Local Special Olympians will be on hand around the arena to raise awareness and collect funds which will go to support the 2012 Provincial Spring games. Following Sunday afternoon's game, there will be Bell open skate with the team until 5:00pm, so be sure to bring your skates!
The Attack sit 5th in the Western Conference with 50 points, 1 point back of Sarnia for 4th place and 3 points up on Windsor and Saginaw, so each point is pivotal. Jarrod Maidens (undisclosed) will not dress for the Attack, while Artur Gavrus (upper body) and Kurtis MacDermid (lower body) will be game time decisions for all three contests this weekend.
Friday evening's action can be seen on Rogers TV local channel 53 or heard live with Fred Wallace on 560 CFOS Grey Motors Bear Radio.
Tickets are still available for both Saturday and Sunday's games and can be purchased at the Attack Box Office in the front lobby of the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre, online at www.attackhockey.com or by calling (519) 371-7452.
Game time in Saturday against the Guelph Storm is 7:30pm while the action gets underway Sunday afternoon at 2:00pm.
