
IceDogs Fall 3-0 to Guelph

The Niagara IceDogs fell to the hometown Storm by a score of 3-0 Friday night in Guelph.
The first period would see the IceDogs get off to a tough start as Guelph would strike twice, taking a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes. Shots in the period were 11-11.
The second would see Niagara carry the majority of the play as they would out shoot the home side 11-4 in the period, but Guelph starter Garret Sparks would be up to the task stopping all 11 IceDog shots. Christopher Festarini was also perfect in the period, keeping the score at 2-0 after two.
The IceDogs would continue to pepper Sparks in the third, picking up another 15 shots, but he would be up to the task, shutting the door once again, while the Storm struck once more to make it a 3-0 final. Final shots were 37-23 in favour of the IceDogs.
Festarini took the loss for Niagara stopping 20 of 23 shots, including a penalty shot, while Niagara was shut out for only the second time all season.
The IceDogs will look to get back to their winning ways in a key Central Division battle Sunday afternoon in Brampton when the battle the Battalion.
