Sioux City Musketeers News Release
Kearney, NE - For a second consecutive night the Tri-City Storm edged the Sioux City Musketeers, this time by a final score of 4-2.
Sioux City jumped out in front first when Ryan Conmy scored his Western Conference leading 26th goal of the season. The lamp lighter came at the 5:47 mark of the period and on the power play for Conmy's seventh power play goal of the season.
In the second, the Storm answered back with a goal from Dane Dowiak, his seventh of the campaign knotted the contest up at one at 2:11 into the period. Tri-City then took the lead on the second goal of the season from Artemi Nizameyev at 11:57 into the second.
Sioux City tied the game as they capitalized on the power play yet again. This time it was Garrett Brown's third goal of the season that tied things 2-2. The Muskies finished the game 2/4 on the man advantage.
The tie however was short lived as the Storm scored just a minute later off the stick of Jake Richard, his 22nd of the season and gave Tri-City a 3-2 lead into the third period.
The final period saw fewer fireworks, the only goal tallied was an empty netter by the Storm from August Falloon.
