Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils (5-6, 23-26) dropped the middle game of the series 5-1 to the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes (6-5, 26-23) on Friday at Gesa Stadium. Olivier Basabe and Jose Lezama each had two hits for the Dust Devils.
Tri-City starter Henry Henry suffered the loss after allowing five earned runs in six innings of work. Salem-Keizer did the bulk of their damage in the top of the third inning. The Volcanoes sent seven batters to the plate and scored four runs. Both teams received strong performances from their bullpens. Washington State University product Ryan Walker picked up the win for Salem-Keizer after tossing 3.1 scoreless innings in relief. Korey Anderson, Nick Kuzia and Diomar Lopez combined to keep the Volcanoes without a run over the final three innings of the game.
Right-hander Adrian Martinez will start the fourth game of the five-game series on Saturday. Salem-Keizer will counter with right-hander Jake Wong.
