Cedar Rapids Kernels News Release
The Cedar Rapids Kernels announced today that RHP Trevor Bell has been activated from the DL, effective Sunday, and that RHP Sammy Leon will be placed on the DL.
Bell was placed on the DL back on April 26 when he strained a groin muscle warming up in the bullpen prior to his scheduled start. He is scheduled to start Tuesday's noon game vs. Clinton at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Cedar Rapids.
Leon goes on the DL with tendonitis in his right shoulder. In six games he has a 1-0 record and 5.68 ERA with six walks and six strikeouts in 6-1/3 innings pitched.
The move leaves the Kernels roster at the MWL maximum of 25 active players.
