Dayton Dragons News Release
Dayton, OH - The Cincinnati Reds have assigned RHP Misael DeJesus to the active roster of the AAA Louisville Bats of the International League. DeJesus will join the Bats at Louisville Slugger Field in time for the team's Monday night game against the Syracuse Chiefs. The Bats are pitcher down following the promotion of Bobby Livingston to the Cincinnati Reds, where he made his Major League starting debut on Mother's Day vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers.
DeJesus was signed by the Reds as a non-drafted free agent prior to the 2004 season. In 11 games with the Dragons, DeJesus posted a 2-1 with a 3.75 ERA. The right hander has given up 24 hits in 24.0 innings of work. He has struck out 30 and walked 10. The Dragons active roster is at 24 players as Dayton opens a three game two day series against the Fort Wayne Wizards at Fifth Third Field Monday night beginning at 6 PM.
