Arkansas Travelers News Release
Dickey-Stephens Park, North Little Rock, AR - Monday night's game between the Arkansas Travelers and Springfield Cardinals has been post poned after the tragic death of Tulsa batting coach Mike Coolbaugh on Sunday. The teams will return to action on Tuesday, July 24th with a 7:10 p.m. first pitch. The decision to postpone the game was made by a unanimous vote of the Travs players. The Tulsa Drillers have set up a special Mike Coolbaugh Memorial Fund to help out his family following his death. Coolbaugh is survived by his wife Mandy and two children, Jacob and Joseph. The couple was expecting their third child in October. Fans can donate money in any denomination to the Mike Coolbaugh Memorial Fund, C/O Spirit Bank, 1800 S. Baltimore Ave, Tulsa, OK 74119. The Travs will accept donations to the fund during the Tuesday and Wednesday games against Springfield. The Travs and Drillers will begin a four-game series Thursday night at Dickey-Stephens Park at 7:10 p.m.
Fans with tickets to Monday's game can use that ticket as a raincheck good for any Travs game that remains throughout the 2007 season. Please contact the box office at 664-7559 to pick out your seats.
