(Calgary) - On Monday, September 3rd the Calgary Stampeders and Edmonton Eskimos will meet once again in the Travel Alberta Labour Day Classic. Since 1992 the Stampeders have sold-out Labour Day excluding 1996. The sellout in 1992 was the first Stampeder sell-out since 1972 when the stadium capacity was 23,680. Since 1959 the two teams have met 42 times with the nod going to the Eskimos, holding a 24-17-1 edge in the classic. The only undecided Labour Day Classic was back in 1978 as the two teams battled to a 28-28 draw. In the 90's the Stampeders dominated the classic with an impressive 7-3 mark, winning six in a row.
