Toronto, ON - (August 29, 2007) - The Canadian Football League (CFL) announced today the Rogers Players of Week for Week #9.

Rogers Players of the Week are selected for on-field excellence by members of the Canadian football broadcasters.

Offensive Player of the Week

QB - Anthony Calvillo - Montreal Alouettes

Hamilton Tiger-Cats 9 @ Montreal Alouettes 27

Highlights / Key Stats:

Montreal Alouettes' quarterback Anthony Calvillo completed 30 of 44 passes for 354 yards and one touchdown. With Montreal leading late in the second quarter, Calvillo hit slotback Elijah Thurmon on a 15-yard touchdown pass, giving Calvillo nine touchdown passes this season.

Defensive Player of the Week

S - Kyries Hebert - Winnipeg Blue Bombers

In a defensive battle, Winnipeg Blue Bombers safety Kyries Hebert set the tone early on recording two sacks on back-to-back plays for a total loss of 15 yards. Hebert has four sacks on the season. Hebert finished with four tackles, giving him 27 on the campaign.

Hamilton Tiger-Cats kicker Nick Setta was perfect on three field goal attempts from 11, 18 and 48 yards out. Setta also punted seven times for an average of 47.3 yards. Two of those punts resulted in Hamilton fumble recoveries.
