AVON, Ohio - The Lake Erie Crushers issued 11 free passes and came out on the wrong end of a 15-3 decision against Schaumburg Boomers at Mercy Health Stadium on Thursday night.

The 15 runs surrendered by the Crushers (16-20) are a season high, while the Boomers (22-13) scored their 12th road win in 18 tries.

Schaumburg fired the first shot in the top of the first inning. Gaige Howard reached on a single to start the inning and came around to score on Blake Berry's two out RBI double to left.

Lake Erie used a little two out thunder as well two innings later to take their only lead of the night. Back-to-back two out walks were issued to Sean Lawlor and Jarrod Watkins in the bottom of the third, and Kemuel Thomas-Rivera responded with a two run double to the gap in left center.

The lead was short lived, as the Boomers batted around, sending 11 batters to the plate in top of the fourth inning where they scored five times on three hits to take the lead. Howard's sacrifice fly plated the first run of the inning and Chase Dawson followed with a RBI single to right. Brett Milazzo then doubled in the next two and Kyle Fitzgerald brought in the final run of the inning with a single.

Schaumburg removed any doubt by scoring five more in the eighth, and four in the ninth. They did their damage in the eighth inning on just three hits. Berry was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to bring in the first run and Fitzgerald followed with a two run single. Will Prater walked with the bases loaded to score the next run and Alec Craig's double brought the final run of the inning home.

The Boomers added four more in the ninth, which was highlighted by a two run double from Fitzgerald and Sac Fly RBIs from Quentin Selma and Prater.

Lake Erie plated their final run in the bottom of the ninth inning when Jiandido Tromp drove Jack Harris home on a RBI groundout.

Altogether, the Crushers walked 11 and hit three batters as well. Kyle Seebach (1-3) took the loss after allowing six runs, only one earned on seven hits with a trio of walks and two strikeouts over 3.2 innings of work. Aaron Glickstein (3-2) picked up the victory after surrendering two runs on four hits with three walks and four strikeouts over seven innings of action.

Gabe Snyder led the Crushers offensively with a pair of hits, while Sean Cheely reached on a single and a walk to bring his on base streak to seven games.

The Crushers will continue their six game homestand and begin a three-game series with the Joliet Slammers at Mercy Health Stadium on Friday night. Right-hander Angelo Baez (3-3, 2.11) will get the start for the Crushers and the first pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM.
