
Toronto Raptors Recall Alabi

BAKERSFIELD, January 22, 2012 - The Bakersfield Jam's NBA affiliate Toronto Raptors have recalled center Solomon Alabi, the team announced today.
Alabi, who was assigned to Bakersfield on January 4, played in nine games (eight as a starter) with the Jam, averaging 9.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 21.2 minutes. He recorded two double-doubles, and had highs of 22 points on January 7 against Idaho and 15 rebounds on January 6 versus the Stampede.
Alabi's lone appearance with the Raptors this season came on January 1 at Orlando. He appeared in 12 games with Toronto last year, averaging 0.5 points, 1.2 rebounds and 0.2 blocks in 4.9 minutes. He also spent time with the Erie BayHawks, Toronto's NBA D-League affiliate last year, where he averaged 7.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks in 22 games. Alabi was drafted by the Dallas Mavericks in the second round of the 2010 NBA Draft and traded to Toronto.
