Texas Legends News Release
Frisco, TX - Behind a raucous 4,594 fans at Dr Pepper Arena, the Texas Legends surged back from an 11 point deficit to beat the Canton Charge 91-82.
Sean Williams recorded his fourth double-double of the season, pulling down a team leading 15 rebounds and 15 points, but it was a total team effort that sealed the comeback win.
Antonio Daniels made a step back jumper with four minutes remaining to take the lead for good. Daniels also dished out a team high six assists and connected on all seven of his free throw attempts.
Both teams played suffocating defense as Texas shot 38.7% from the field, barely out performing Canton's 35.7%.
Canton was strong on the boards grabbing 50 total rebounds, including 19 offensive rebounds. Texas made a conscience effort to score in the paint with 42 points, a vital stat on a night where shots weren't going in for either team.
Texas (11-13) is now 3-0 in the first half of their six game home stand and they'll set their sites on the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (14-9) Saturday 28th at Dr Pepper Arena in Frisco, TX.
