Last Week:
The Toronto Marlies posted a record of 2-1-0-0 in three games this past week. On Friday night, Toronto defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs, AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens, by a score of 2-0. Greg McKegg and Jerry D'Amigo scored for Toronto, while Drew MacIntyre earned his first shutout of the season.
On Saturday afternoon, the Marlies were defeated 2-1 by the Chicago Wolves, AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues. T.J. Brennan tallied the lone Toronto goal, while Garret Sparks stopped 28 of 30 shots.
In their final game of the week, the Marlies defeated the Lake Erie Monsters, AHL affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche, by a score of 3-2 in a shootout. Stuart Percy and Jamie Devane scored in regulation, while Spencer Abbott and Brandon Kozun tallied in the shootout. Drew MacIntyre earned the victory to give him four straight wins.
Look Ahead: The Marlies will take to the ice four times this coming week. On Thursday, Toronto will take on the Oklahoma City Barons, AHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers, in Oklahoma at 7 p.m.
(CST). Former Marlies Will Acton and Ryan Hamilton are currently playing for the Barons.
Toronto will travel to Texas on Friday for a 7:30 p.m. (CST) game against the San Antonio Rampage, AHL affiliate of the Florida Panthers.
In their third game in as many days, the Marlies will take on the Texas Stars, AHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars, on Saturday at 7 p.m. (CST).
Toronto returns home on Wednesday, February 5 for an 11 a.m. game against San Antonio.
Wednesday will mark the first of three school day games for the Marlies this season.
