St. John's IceCaps News Release

The Winnipeg Jets today announced they have assigned defenceman Paul Postma to the St. John's IceCaps of the American Hockey League on a conditioning loan.

Postma, 24, played in eight games with the Winnipeg Jets so far this season before suffering a blood clot that has sidelined him since Oct. 27/13. The Red Deer, AB native has played in 46 career NHL games between Atlanta and Winnipeg for nine career points (4G, 5A) and 12 penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the seventh round, 205th overall, in the 2007 NHL Draft.
