IceCaps Re-Assign Cody Sol to Ontario Reign

The St. John's IceCaps announced today they have re-assigned defenceman Cody Sol to the Ontario Reign of the ECHL.

Sol, 22, suited up in one game for the IceCaps since his recall on Jan. 17. In 35 games for Ontario this season, Sol has collected seven points (4G, 3A) and 66 penalty minutes with a +1 rating.

The 6'6" rearguard has played in 28 career AHL games, including 26 with the IceCaps in 2012-13, where he recorded four points (1G, 3A) and 63 penalty minutes.

The Woodstock, ON native was originally drafted by the Atlanta Thrashers in the 5th round (125th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
