ON THE SCORESHEET

- Connor Brown scored twice in his return to the Marlies line-up after missing 35 games due to injury. The goals were his first of the season and earned him the game's first star.

- David Kolomatis scored the game winning goal in his first game with the Marlies. He was signed by Toronto yesterday to a AHL contract.

- TJ Brennan scored twice to take the lead in AHL scoring with 42 points through 43 games this season. Brennan was also a game high +4.

- Antoine Bibeau turned aside 28 shots to earn his 15th victory of the year, tying his total from last season. The victory also moves him into a tie for fifth among Marlies all-time win leaders.

- Rinat Valiev enjoyed his fifth multi-point game this season, collecting two assists on the afternoon.

- Mark Arcobello extends his point streak to four games scoring once and adding an assist, he has nine points in that stretch. His 37 points through 30 games this season places him fifth in league scoring.

- Matt Frattin collected two assists on the afternoon to increase his point total to 20 through 42 games played this season.

- Zack Hyman assisted on the game winning goal to extend his point streak to three games.

- Casey Bailey now has assists in back-to-back contests, recording the primary assist on TJ Brennan's second goal.

- Brendan Leipsic scored his 13th goal of the season while shorthanded; he is one shy of his goal total for last season.

NOTABLES

- The Marlies improve on their longest home win streak this season, six games, dating back to December 31, 2015 against Lake Erie.

- Toronto improves to 13-0-0-0 when leading after the first period and 15-0-0-0 when scoring five or more goals

- This is the fourth game the Marlies have scored seven or more goals. Toronto leads the AHL with 174 goals for and a goal differential of +67.

- Toronto is now in a tie for first (Milwaukee Admirals) with eight short-handed goals for.

- The Marlies improve to 5-0-1-0 against Utica this season. The teams have two games remaining in the season series.
