Manitoba Moose Post-Game Report - Manitoba at Stockton - January 23

Goals:

- Scott Kosmachuk collects the puck from along the boards behind the net and wraps around out front beating Kevin Poulin on the powerplay at 13:55 of the first period.

- While on the powerplay, Stockton's Kenny Agostino takes a slap shot from the circle which beats Jussi Olkinuora at 8:03 of the second period.

- While the Moose are on the powerplay, the Heat block a point shot and the puck is collected by Garnet Hathaway who scores on a breakaway at 12:50 of the second period.

- With the goaltender pulled, Matt Fraser jumps on a rebound and scores with just 1:18 remaining in the third period.

- The Moose get caught on a line change which sends Aaron Johnson in alone and he scores backhand on Olkinuora :35 seconds into overtime.

Highlights/Notes:

- Jussi Olkinuora made his second start of the season in the Moose net. He made a career AHL high 44 saves.

- Scott Kosmachuk scored his seventh goal of the season while Matt Fraser scored his third.

- Ryan Olsen (4-5-9) had one assist and matched his career high in points from his rookie season last year. With the other assist Austen Brassard (8-9-17) is one point from matching his career high in points he achieved last year. The Moose have 36 more games to play this season.

- The Moose gave up their fifth shorthanded goal of the season.

- Manitoba now has a record of 1-3-4 in overtime.

- The Moose now trail the season series against the Heat 0-0-1-1 with two games remaining which will take place at the MTS Centre on Mar. 21 & 23.

The Moose will continue their California road trip by travelling to face the Bakersfield Condors for the first of two games on Tuesday, Jan. 26 at the Rabobank Arena at 9 p.m. CT.
