Toronto Marlies News Release
The Toronto Marlies closed the season on a season high seven game win streak, claiming seventh place in the Western Conference.
CONNOR BROWN officially claims the rookie scoring title, finishing the year with 21 goals, 40 assists for 61 points along with a +24 rating.
GREG MCKEGG added to his career high for goals in a season, scoring his 22nd goal of the year.
JACK RODEWALD recorded his first professional point, an assist on GREG MCKEGG'S first period goal.
ERIK BRADFORD scored the second goal of the game for the Marlies which was his first professional point.
MATT FRATTIN scored his team leading 26th goal of the season. He finished the season on a nine game point streak, collecting 16 points over that span.
WILLIAM NYLANDER scored the fourth Marlies goal, giving him 15 points over the past 11 games and points in his last three games.
BYRON FROESE assisted WILLIAM NYLANDER'S goal pushing his point total over the past 14 games to 17 and finishing the season on a five game point streak.
BRENDAN LEIPSIC recorded two assists, finishing the last eight games of the season with 12 points.
TJ BRENNAN recorded a goal and an assist in the victory, he closed out the last seven games of the season with 11 points.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Toronto Marlies return to Toronto before embarking on their quest for the Calder Cup. Their first round opponent will be the Grand Rapids Griffins and the series will open Saturday, April 26 and Sunday April 27th when the Marlies will host the Griffins at Ricoh Coliseum at 3:00 p.m. Playoff tickets can be purchased at marlies.ca or by calling 416-597-PUCK (7825)
