April 19, 2015 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Chicago Wolves News Release
The Chicago Wolves open the 2015 Calder Cup playoffs with a best-of-five series against the Utica Comets. The teams start their Western Conference Quarterfinals series at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Allstate Arena.
The Wolves, who have reached the postseason for the 17th time in their 21-year history, wrapped up the 2014-15 regular season Sunday afternoon as the No. 8 seed in the American Hockey League's Western Conference while Utica secured the No. 1 seed.
The Comets earned home-ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs and, due to the travel distance between Chicago and Utica, N.Y., received the right to choose whether to host the first two or the final three games of the series.
The Wolves host Game 1 at 7 p.m. Wednesday and Game 2 at 7 p.m. Friday.
The Comets host Game 3 at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 29, at Utica Memorial Auditorium. If Games 4 and 5 are necessary, they are scheduled for Friday, May 1, and Saturday, May 2. All games will be broadcast in HD on The U-Too 26.2, XFinity 230, RCN 35 and WOW 170.
