The Oklahoma City Barons closed out the 2014-15 AHL regular season with a 4-2 win over the Iowa Wild in front of 6,188 in attendance Saturday night at the Cox Convention Center.

Oklahoma City's win clinched the sixth seed in the AHL's Calder Cup Playoffs, with the Barons taking on the San Antonio Rampage in a best-of-five series that begins with a 7 p.m. start on Thursday, April 23, at the Cox Convention Center. The Barons host the first two games of the series, with the remaining three to be played in San Antonio if necessary.

In the win, Jason Williams assisted on three of the four Oklahoma City goals, leading all skaters with three points.

Barons goalie Laurent Brossoit recorded his second straight win, stopping 26 Iowa shots, to finish the season with a record of 25-22-4.

C.J. Stretch opened the game's scoring for the Barons 7:09 into the first period. Nick Pageau sent a pass to the mid-slot in the Iowa zone that Stretch grabbed before spinning around and sliding a backhand shot through the pads of Wild goalie Johan Gustafson.

Oklahoma City extended its lead to 2-0 at 7:47 of the second period when Kellen Jones shuffled a pass from the right corner to the middle of the Wild zone, where Dillon Simpson wristed a shot over the glove of Gustafson.

After a goal by Iowa's Brett Bulmer cut the Barons lead to 2-1 at 6:49 of the third period, Ryan Hamilton netted OKC's third goal, grabbing the puck off a faceoff in the Wild zone and flipping a shot that sailed over Gustafson's shoulder and into the back of the Iowa net.

Matt Ford scored the Barons' lone power play goal in five chances at 15:03 of the third period, grabbing a loose puck in front of the net, sending it to Jason Williams and pushing the rebound of Williams's shot around Gustafson.

Iowa's Jonathon Blum added a power play goal for Iowa at 16:42 of the third to shrink OKC's lead to 4-2.

Tickets for Oklahoma City's playoff games are currently on sale at all Ticketmaster outlets, including OKCBarons.com.
