Toronto FC Receive GAM from Nashville SC in Exchange for Jacob Shaffelburg

Toronto FC News Release

Toronto FC announced today that the club has acquireda $300,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) from Nashville SC in exchange for the permanent transfer of Jacob Shaffelburg. As part of the transfer, TFC will receive additional conditional GAM if certain performance-based metrics are met.

Shaffelburg, 22, made 61 appearances in all competitions (MLS regular season, MLS Cup Playoffs, Canadian Championship and Concacaf Champions League) since joining TFC as a Homegrown Player on June 21, 2019. The winger was part of the squad that won the postponed 2020 Canadian Championship (played on June 4, 2022) after defeating Forge FC 5-4 on penalties.

TRANSACTION: Toronto FC acquired $300,000 in 2023 GAM from Nashville SC in exchange for the permanent transfer of Jacob Shaffelburg.
