
Toronto Extends Win Streak with 3-2 Win over Rockford

Toronto Marlies News Release
The Toronto Marlies defeated the Rockford IceHogs, AHL affiliate of the Chicago Blackhawks, by a score of 3-2 this afternoon at the BMO Harris Bank Center.
Rockford would open the scoring at 11:13 of the first period when Alex Broadhurst notched his 7th goal of the season. The Marlies responded with two tallies in the middle frame from Greg McKegg and Spencer Abbott. T.J. Brennan scored his team leading 17th goal of the season on a powerplay early in the final period to put the Marlies up 3-1. Joakim Nordstrom cut Toronto's lead to one with under 10 minutes remaining in regulation, but the IceHogs were unable to tie the game. With the win, Toronto has now won three consecutive games and has not lost in regulation since January 3.
The Marlies return to the ice tomorrow night when they travel to Wisconsin for a 7:05 p.m. (CST) game against the Milwaukee Admirals, AHL affiliate of the Nashville Predators. For all Toronto Marlies ticket inquiries, please contact the team's ticket line at 416-597-PUCK (7825).
