June 30, 2005 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Albuquerque Isotopes News Release

As part of their special July 4th holiday celebration, the Albuquerque Isotopes will be auctioning off special game-worn jerseys with all proceeds benefiting the Mid-Rio Grande Chapter of the American Red Cross.

Fans attending the Isotopes' 6:05 PM game against the Oklahoma RedHawks on July 4th at Isotopes Park will have the opportunity to bid on special, red, white, and blue Independence Day jerseys that will be worn by every ‘Topes' player and coach throughout the contest. Bidding will take place on the Isotopes Park concourse in front of the team's Pro Shop. After the game, winning bidders will be escorted on to the field where the players will personally autograph and hand over their jerseys. The evening will then conclude with a spectacular fireworks display courtesy of First State Bank and KASA Fox 2.

All of the proceeds raised will go toward the local Mid-Rio Grande Chapter of the American Red Cross, which will then distribute the funds to local military families.

This will be the second jersey auction the Isotopes have hosted this season, the first occurring on Memorial Day, when over $4,000 was raised for the Morale, Welfare and Recreation Fund at Kirtland Air Force Base.

The Independence Day holiday kicks off a great seven-game homestand packed with terrific giveaways and promotions. Homestand highlights include back-to-back Cheerstix giveaways on July 5 and July 6, Mini-Bat giveaway to the first 2,500 kids on July 7, a return appearance by the Zooperstars! on July 8 as well as free sports bags and baseball maracas throughout the weekend. Tickets for all Isotopes games can be purchased at Isotopes Park, home of the 2007 Triple-A All-Star Game, at 1601 Avenida Cesar Chavez SE or at any Ticketmaster outlet, www.ticketmaster.com, or Ticketmaster by Phone at (505) 883-7800.
