Sacramento River Cats News Release
West Sacramento - The Sacramento River Cats fell to the Salt Lake Stingers on Thursday night, 4-2, at Raley Field.
The River Cats offense had its chance, but failed to come up with the big hits. The team stranded 11 base-runners on the night, left the bases loaded in the 4th inning and hit into inning ending double plays in the 5th and 7th innings. Shawn Garrett's 3-for-4 performance led the Cats offense as starter Seth Etherton earned his 3rd loss of the season for Sacramento.
The River Cats and Stingers square off again on Friday night, when LHP Dan Meyer (1-3, 6.69) takes the mound against a starter TBD for Salt Lake.
