Tucson, AZ-Tucson Sidewinders First Baseman Alan Zinter will be featured nationwide on ESPN's show âTimeless' that will air Saturday, July 2nd on ESPN2 at 8:30 a.m. (local Tucson time). âTimeless' features unique stories in sports overlooked by mainstream coverage. The piece captures Zinter's perseverance in getting back to the major leagues in his 17th season of professional and was filmed during the Sidewinders opening homestand this season.
Zinter is in his 3rd season with the Sidewinders (2000, 2004-05) and is currently on the disabled list retroactive to June 24th with left shoulder inflammation. He is currently hitting .216 (24-for-111) with 9 R, 14 RBI and 2 HR this season after batting .335 (60-for-179) with 28 R, 39 RBI, and 7 HR with the team in 2004.
âTimeless' is produced by ESPN Original Entertainment (EOE) in conjunction with Red Line Films and hosted by Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Dhani Jones.
