
'Topes suspended due to rain

Albuquerque Isotopes News Release
Due to prolonged periods of heavy rain and hail, Tuesday night's game between the Albuquerque Isotopes and Sacramento River Cats and has been officially suspended in the bottom of the second inning with the âTopes trailing the River Cats 2-1. The suspended game will resume tomorrow, July 23, at 4:30 PM with gates opening at 3:30 PM. After the conclusion of game one, which will be nine innings in length, tomorrow's regularly scheduled game will be a seven inning affair, beginning approximately thirty minutes after the conclusion of game one.
Since tonight's game not is not yet official, the Isotopes Rain Check Policy is in effect. Any ticket to tonight's contest may be exchanged for a ticket of equal or lesser value, based on seating availability, for any future regular season game. Exchanges are accepted exclusively at the Isotopes Park Box Office.
Tomorrow's Albuquerque Professional Baseball Hall of Fame ceremonies will occur between the two games as this year's inductees; former Dukes manager Del Crandall, former Dukes GM Pat McKernan, the 1981 Albuquerque Dukes Team, PCL Triple-Crown winner Mike Marshall, player and manager Herschel Martin, executives' Tom Bolack and John McMullen, and Albuquerque Journal reporter and editor J.D. Kailer will have their plaques added in McKernan Hall. Coinciding with the Hall of Fame ceremonies the Albuquerque Isotopes will be wearing retro Albuquerque Dukes uniforms for the second game.
When the suspended game resumes, the Isotopes will send right-hander Steve Woodard back out the mound against Sacramento righty Brad Knox (6-2, 4.12). In the second affair, Albuquerque will give the ball to right-hander Frankie De La Cruz (10-5, 4.33) against a River Cats hurler that is to be announced.
Albuquerque's first homestand after the All-Star Break rolls on with an exciting post-game fireworks show on Friday followed by a Zooperstars! appearance on Saturday and stellar giveaways such as Isotopes baseballs, Tote Bags, Posters, and License Plate frames
