Augusta GreenJackets News Release

Lexington, KY - The Augusta GreenJackets and Lexington Legends were suspended by heavy and persistent rains with the Legends leading the GreenJackets 4-0 in the second inning on Monday night. The game will be resumed at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday with a seven-inning game to follow at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington.

After the GreenJackets left the bases full in the second inning, Lexington put up a four-spot on GreenJackets starter Mario Rodriguez with four straight hits to open the second. Daniel Adamson doubled home two runs to make it a 2-0 Legends advantage before Tyler Burnett roped a two-run home run to right to double the lead to 4-0. With rains intensifying, the umpires called for the tarp after a five-pitch walk to Jhonny Medrano. After a 40-minute delay, it was decided that there would be no more baseball on Monday.

Play will resume in the bottom of the second on Tuesday with the game running the full nine innings. After that, the two teams will meet in a seven-inning contest to finish the series. First pitch will come at 5:05 in Lexington with the pregame action beginning at 4:50, airing on WRDW-AM 1630 and online at www.greenjacketsbaseball.com .

Single-game and Season Tickets are currently available by calling the GreenJackets front office at 706-922-WINS while further information can be found online at www.greenjacketsbaseball.com .
