Johnstown Tomahawks News Release
The Johnstown Tomahawks earned their sixth straight win and a weekend sweep against the Northeast Generals by a final of 4-2 to close out the weekend.
Drake Albers started off Saturday night's scoring with his fifteenth goal of the season coming 4:40 into the game. Justin Rapp scored his fourth of the season shortly after, giving Johnstown a 2-0 lead to end the first period.
After an abundance of penalties in the second period, Jacob Kaminski got the Generals on the board in the second period. Kaminski's goal would be the only one in the middle frame as Johnstown carried a one-goal lead into the third period.
Albers extended the lead early in the third period with his second goal of the game, putting the Tomahawks up 3-1. Andrew DellaDonna brought the Generals within one late in the period, but Will Lawrence secured the win for Johnstown with an empty net goal with 43.3 seconds remaining in regulation.
The Tomahawks are back on home ice next weekend Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12 at 1ST SUMMIT ARENA against the Danbury Jr. Hat Tricks. Tickets can be purchased on Ticketmaster.com.
