Philadelphia Rebels News Release

LEWISTON, ME - On Saturday night, the Philadelphia Rebels (17-20-1-1, 36 pts) finished off their weekend series in Maine with the Nordiques (20-15-1-1, 42 pts). The Rebels took the loss 4-1, dropping both games in Maine.

Jakub Krbecek started the game in net for the Rebels and Thomas Heaney was given the nod for the Nordiques.

After a strong first 15 minutes, the Rebels saw two pucks get past Krbecek and went into the locker room down 2-0.

Both teams traded chances in the second period. The Nordiques held their 2-0 lead through the majority of the frame by controlling play and maintaining possession of the puck in the Rebels' zone for the most of the middle frame.

David Deputy (13) beat the buzzer at the end of the second period, cutting the Nordiques' lead in half. Deputy's deflection came on a shot from Charles Panchisin with Max Hamstad getting the secondary assist.

Maine began the third period with a power-play goal from Oliver Genest after a rebound bounced right to his stick.

The Nordiques would go on to add an empty net goal for the 4-1 final.

Philadelphia will be in New England on Thursday and Friday as they visit the Northeast Generals. Thursday's game is a 1 p.m. puck-drop and Friday night's game is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.. Both games can be seen on HockeyTV.
