Walleye Notes
- This Past Week! Toledo struggled to find any offense on Friday night in Cincinnati, falling to the Cyclones 3-0. Saturday night, Kalamazoo jumped out to a 4-1 lead and held off the Walleye 5-3.
- Moving up the Charts! Toledo captain Kyle Rogers has now skated in 204 games in a Toledo uniform. Kyle is now 8th on the All-Time Toledo ECHL games played list and is ten behind Shawn Maltby who skated in 214 games with the Strom from 1997-2002.
- Coetzee on a Roll! Since returning to the Walleye following an injury, Walleye Forward Willie Coetzee has collected 16 points (5g, 11a) over the course of 11 games. Willie leads Toledo in goals (23), assists (30), and points (53) this season.
- Gametime! Toledo returns to action Wednesday night when they host the Greenville Road Warriors. The two teams have played three times this season all in Greenville, with Toledo having a 1-2-0 record. The weekend features three straight games against the Wheeling Nailers starting Friday night in Wheeling. Toledo is 5-0-1 vs. the Nailers this year and the two teams will play back to back games in Toledo on Saturday and Sunday.
- Promotions! Come celebrate St. Patrick's Day with the Walleye on Saturday and Sunday this week. Green Ice, Green Beer and the band Extra Stout performing on Saturday. Sunday the Incredible Hulk will make an appearance for St. CATtrick's Day! The day also features a Post-Game Skate on the Green Ice.
