
Toledo Walleye Sign Defenseman Sean Curry

(Toledo, OH) - The Toledo Walleye and Head Coach Nick Vitucci have announced today that defenseman Sean Curry has agreed to terms with the team.
Sean, the native of Burnsville, Minnesota, has appeared in 525 games in the AHL since the 2002-03 season. Sean was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 7th round of the 2001 NHL entry draft. The 28-year-old had a career year in scoring during the 2007-08 season with the Providence Bruins, scoring 13 goals while adding 25 assists. Sean has collected 858 penalty minutes during his professional career.
The team also placed Scott Fletcher on injured reserve and released goaltender Tom Schaul today.
