Stockton's Pitton Named Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week

PRINCETON, N.J. - Bryan Pitton of the Stockton Thunder is the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Nov. 1-7.

The 22 year old was 2-0-0 with a goals against average of 0.96 and a save percentage of .956 in three appearances against Pacific Division rival Bakersfield. He turned aside all 19 shots on Friday in a 7-0 win to record his second professional shutout. He made 21 saves on 23 shots on Saturday in a 4-2 win and stopped three shots after coming into the game in the third period on Sunday in a 4-0 win.

Pitton leads the ECHL with a 0.96 goals-against average and .956 save percentage.

A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Pitton is under contract with Edmonton of the National Hockey League after being drafted by the Oilers in the fifth round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. He was third in the 2010 Kelly Cup Playoffs posting a 1.70 goals-against average and was tied for first with a .943 save percentage.

Pitton is 20-28-6 with two shutouts, a goals- against average of 3.09 and a save percentage of .903 in 59 games with Stockton over the last three seasons. He has also made 10 appearances in the American Hockey League for Springfield and Oklahoma City since 2008.

Runners Up: Gerald Coleman, Alaska (1-1-0, 2.02 GAA, .917 save pct.), Jaroslav Janus, Florida (1-0-0, 1.00 GAA, .975 save pct.) and Andrew Engelage, Utah (1-0-1, 2.37 GAA, .921 save pct.).
