Toledo Walleye Release T-Shirt Contest Results

Over the past 4 months, 30 different schools from Ohio and Michigan have participated in the 1st annual Toledo Walleye "Design a T-Shirt Contest."

Artwork from students was submitted and the Walleye staff narrowed it down to the top three (3) high school designs, and the top three (3) Middle School/Elementary designs. Artwork was posted at www.toledowalleye.com, and voted on by you, our fans, to determine a winner.

For the Middle School/Elementary category, third place went to Nicholas Williams, receiving a $50 gift card to the Swamp Shop, and the Toledo Walleye donated $100 to Byrnedale Middle School. Runner up was Griffin Preuss, receiving a $50 gift card to the Swamp Shop and the Toledo Walleye donated $250 to Whiteford Elementary. The winner of this category was Savannah Compton from Genoa Middle School, Savannah will receive a $100 gift card to the Swamp Shop and the Walleye will sell the t-shirt in the Swamp Shop at Lucas County Arena through June, and donate 20% of the proceeds to Genoa Middle School.

For the High School category, third place went to Nathan Kime, receiving a $50 gift card to the Swamp Shop and the Toledo Walleye donated $100 to Bowling Green High School. Runner up was Jasmine Patrick, receiving a $50 gift card to the Swamp Shop and the Toledo Walleye donated $250 to Woodward High School. The winner of this category was Sarah Kobylak from Notre Dame Academy. Sarah will receive a $100 gift card to the Swamp Shop and the Walleye will sell the t-shirt in the Swamp Shop at Lucas County Arena through June, and donate 20% of the proceeds to Notre Dame Academy.
