Toledo, OH- Led by three power-play goals, the Toledo Walleye avenged last night's loss to the Kalamazoo Wings by defeating the K-Wings 6-3 at the Huntington Center.

Despite being outshoot 13-5 in the opening period, Kalamazoo was able to survive the first period with a lead.

Getting the home crowd into the contest early, Adam Bohombach (2nd) earned his second goal in as many nights against the K-Wings giving the Walleye a 1-0 lead on a power-play rebound tally 7:06 into the first period.

Kalamazoo answered back just over a minute later, with a power-play goal of their own from Brian McGuirk (1st). The goal from McGuirk came on the K-Wings second shot of the period.

The K-Wings captured the lead late in the period, when Sam Ftorek pass to McGuirk led to a scoring chance and an eventual rebound marker from Jordan Fulton (2nd).

After being scratched last night, Toledo's Mike Hedden picked up where he left off last Wednesday. Hedden, who scored three goals in his first game of the preseason against the Wheeling Nailers, finished off a two-on-one with Tyler Gotto by netting his fourth goal of the preseason.

Just like they did in the first period, Kalamazoo responded to Toledo's goal with one of their own. Anton Kharin (1st) deflected a cross rink pass from Jay Sprague two minutes after the Walleye's equalizer to regain the one goal advantage.

Toledo responded in the final 20 minutes of play with five answered goals, including two power-play tallies. Hedden (5th) recorded the second of those power-play goals to grab his second game-winner of the preseason.

Kalamazoo finished the preseason with a record of 1-1-0-0, while Toledo concluded the preseason with a record of 2-1-0-0.
