Reign Shut Out Thunder, 4-0

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Ontario Reign, proud affiliate of the NHL Los Angeles Kings, shut out the Stockton Thunder, 4-0, on Saturday evening in their second pre-season game in as many nights before a crowd of 5,262 fans.

Reign forward Kyle Kraemer opened scoring in the match at 3:44 with a 5-on-3 power play goal. Rookie Kraemer buried a slap shot from the left circle in the corner of the net behind Thunder netminder Jason Lindner. Centers Aaron Lewadniuk and Tim Kraus claimed the assists.

Right wing Chaz Johnson mixed it up with Thunder forward Shane Ferguson. Johnson dropped Ferguson with a few right hooks much to the approval of the home crowd.

With less than a minute remaining in the second period, defenseman David Walker fired off a slap shot that sailed over Lindner's shoulder. Lewadniuk recorded his second assist of the game and Kraemer notched his second point on the goal. The clubs headed into the third period of play with the Reign leading, 2-0.

Only 35 seconds into the final period, Kraus buried a slap shot from the slot behind Lindner and scored the Reign's third unanswered goal off an assist from Kraemer, who brought his game tally for the night to three points.

Defenseman David Walker made it four unanswered goals for the Reign at 5:28 and claimed the last goal of the night. Left wing Daniel Lombardi and center Jon Francisco recorded the assists, and Ontario won the match with a final score of Reign 4, Thunder 0.
