Stockton Thunder News Release

ONTARIO, Calif. - Goaltender Kellen Briggs earned a shutout in his preseason debut on 26 saves and David Walker scored a pair of goals to help the Ontario Reign send the Stockton Thunder to a 4-0 preseason defeat at Citizens Business Bank Arena on Saturday.

The Thunder closed the preseason record at 3-1-0. Tim Kraus and Kyle Kraemer helped out the Ontario offense with additional goals.

Kraemer buried a 5-on-3 power play goal, his second of the preseason, to lift Ontario to a 1-0 lead with 3:44 gone in the first period, taking Aaron Lewadniuk's pass through the box and burying a one-timer from the left circle.

Jason Lindner kept the Thunder in the game with a pair of sprawling saves on Jordan Morrison and Jon Francisco in the first period.

After the Thunder failed to capitalize on a 5-on-3 power-play, David Walker expanded the Ontario lead to 2-0 from off the rush, when he buried a 40-foot slapshot from the right wing.

Kraus finished off a give-and-go play with Kraemer in the slot, with a wrist shot that escaped Lindner's blocker side for a 3-0 edge with 35 seconds into the third period.

Walked capped the scoring with a drive from the blueline with 5:28 into the third period.

Lindner took the loss with a 36-save effort, closing the preseason at 1-1-0.
