Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, NJ – Brent Robinson scored twenty seconds into the overtime to lead the Trenton Titans to a 2-1 win over the Atlantic City Boardwalks Bullies at Sovereign Bank Arena and a 2-0 lead in best-of-five North Division Semifinal series.

3,005 saw the fastest overtime goal in Titans' postseason history when Robinson put the puck past Trevor Koenig after the Bullies goalie stopped the initial slapshot from Rick Kowalsky. Robinson has now tallied points in eleven consecutive games.

Before the overtime heroics, Trenton and Atlantic CIty remained in a deadlock for most of the game as neither team recorded a goal in the opening period.

Atlantic City finally broke the scoreless tie with a shorthanded goal as J.F. Plourde forced a turnover at the Trenton blueline and found Jason Notermann alone in front at 7:19 of the second period.

The Titans would respond at 16:05 of the stanza when Nick Deschenes picked up a loose puck outside the Bullies zone and converted the breakaway to tie the score 1-1.

Trenton outshot the Bullies 12-6 in third period, but could not work the puck past Koenig, sending the game to the extra session.

Andrew Allen stopped 27 of 28 shots for his second consecutive postseason victory. Including the regular season, Allen has won 13 of his last 15 starts.

The Titans were 0-for-2 on the power play, but 6-for-6 on the penalty kill

Trenton travels to Atlantic City for Game 3 of the series on Sunday, April 17 at 4:05pm at Boardwalk Hall. Tune into to MoneyTalk 1350AM to hear all of the Titans hockey action. Fans can also go to www.trentontitans.com to listen live.
