(KANSAS CITY, Kan.) –– The Kansas City T-Bones are excited to announce that Titan Construction, which served as the design-builder for CommunityAmerica Ballpark, has won the "Project of the Year" Award from Modern Builder Magazine.

Formal groundbreaking for the project was on September 4, 2002, the first concrete was poured in November 2002, and the final construction drawings were completed in December 2002. The ballpark was substantially completed on May 15, 2003, two weeks ahead of schedule; the duration from groundbreaking to opening was nine months and two days!

Adam Ehlert, Vice President of Ehlert Development Company, remarked "We are privileged to work in a building as beautiful as Heinlein Schrock Stearns designed, and Titan's organization agreed to build, in a mere nine months." Ehlert Development Company is the ownership group of both the ballpark and the T-Bones.

According to Modern Builder Magazine, "CommunityAmerica Ballpark has an industrial-warehouse design reminiscent of an earlier era, with brick, glass, and colored block on the façade, and corrugated metal accents throughout."

The T-Bones season is underway, and a huge early success! Group tickets and suites are available, but moving fast. The T-Bones are averaging over 5,500 fans a game! To learn more, please call the T-Bones at 913/328-2255, or visit the T-Bones web site at www.tbonesbaseball.com. The Kansas City T-Bones... Fun Well Done!
