JOLIET, IL â The Joliet JackHammers (1-1) and Gary SouthShore RailCats (1-1) were rained out on Saturday night at Silver Cross Field. The games was scheduled for 7:05 pm, and the final decision was made at 9 pm. They will play a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon beginning at 2:05 pm. Tickets for Saturday's game can be exchanged, for equal or lesser value, for any 2004 regular season JackHammers home game based upon availability.
In the first game, RHP Billy Coleman will start for the RailCats, and RHP Nathan Kent will start for the JackHammers. In the second game, RHP Dan Soria will start for the RailCats, and RHP Steve Hecker will start for the JackHammers. The gates open at 1:05 pm, and the first pitch is slated for 2:05 pm. There will be two seven-inning games with 20 minutes separating the two games.
Sunday is Bill Jacobs of Joliet Family Day featuring a special package which includes 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs, 4 souvenir cup Pepsi, 2 coupons for the Bounce House or Speed Pitch and 1 official souvenir game program for either $46 (Box), $38 (Reserved), or $30 (General Admission). During the game, the Jesse White Tumblers will entertain courtesy of Aramark and 98.3 WCCQ. JackHammers players and coaches will sign autographs after the game.
