Tips Host Mitch Love Night Friday, Hat Giveaway Sunday

EVERETT, Wash. - The Everett Silvertips (@WHLSilvertips), seven-time U.S. Division champion and two-time Western Conference champion of the Western Hockey League, will host the Saskatoon Blades to conclude a three-game homestand on Friday at 7:35 p.m. for Mitch Love Night, including a pre-game jersey lifting ceremony to the rafters and Mitch Love bobblehead set giveaway (Washington Healthplanfinder) to the first 1,000 fans in attendance. The Tips will host the Tri-City Americans at 4:05 p.m. on Sunday for Silvertips Hat Giveaway (Buzz Inn Steakhouse), free to the first 1,000 fans at the main doors only.
With the Silvertips welcoming back Mitch Love for his first trip of game action to downtown Everett since accepting the position of head coach of the Saskatoon Blades before the 2017-18 season, the Silvertips will honor a member of their inaugural team, the second captain in franchise history, and an individual who served nine years in Everett as a player and coach.
"This weekend is a culmination of hard work we've put into for many months designed to say 'thank you' to a figure who will always be a part of our family," said Consolidated Sports Holdings chief operating officer Zoran Rajcic. "From Mitch Love's first day as a Silvertip, he was committed to each day like he was prepared to bring a lunch pail and work boots, and tirelessly made an effort connect with our community. Our mission is to put this coming Friday into play, with all of that in mind, and deliver a night he and countless fans here in Snohomish County will never forget."
The Silvertips will face Saskatoon at 7:35 p.m. with the following activities scheduled for Mitch Love Night:
- Mitch Love bobblehead set giveaway presented by Washington Healthplanfinder (first 1,000 fans in attendance) - GIVEAWAY AVAILABLE ONLY AT MAIN DOORS OF A.O.T.W. ARENA
- Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. for Season Ticket Holders and 6pm for all fans
- Jerseys featuring "LOVE" and "#2" on the back of every Silvertip player during pre-game warmups, autographed by Mitch Love
- Mitch Love #2 banner raised to the rafters of Angel of the Winds Arena
- Personal address by Love to all fans in attendance shortly before puck drop
- Video tribute presentation featuring select Silvertips player and coaching alumni
- Hockey Happy Hour (Broad Stroke Associates)
Doors open at 6pm to all fans at A.O.T.W. Arena and feature beverage specials throughout the Budweiser Ice Box, located behind the end zone where the Silvertips attack once.
Tickets and free beverage vouchers available as low as a $22 offer, redeemable for a draft beer, house wine, fountain drink or bottled water.
The Silvertips return home Sunday to face Tri-City at 4:05 p.m. with the following activities scheduled:

For every two tickets purchase, fans receive one free flex ticket voucher redeemable for any Tips home game in the 2019-20 regular season.
- SmileGen Family Fun Zone
Families attending Sunday afternoon's game are invited to enjoy the Family Fun Zone at the bottom of the grand staircase of A.O.T.W. Arena (located nearby the Silvertips Team Store).
Activities such as sign making, floor hockey, and additional kid-friendly attractions will be available from pre-game warm-ups until the start of the third period (approximately 3:30pm - 5:30pm).
- Hat giveaway (Buzz Inn Steakhouse)
The first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a limited edition, collectible Silvertips hat at the doors (main entrance only).
