Tip A 51 Luncheon coming

LAS VEGAS: The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will team up together with Carrabba's Italian Grill in Summerlin to present "The Second Annual Tip A 51 Luncheon" to be held on Friday, Sept. 2, at 11:30 a.m., to benefit Candlelighters For Childhood Cancer of Southern Nevada.

The Carrabba's Italian Grill is located at 8771 West Charleston Blvd. (phone number 304-2345). The luncheon will cost $25 per person and be limited to the first 100 people. The menu will consist of salad, bread, main entrée, side of pasta, dessert, and non-alcoholic beverages.

The 51s players will serve as waiters for the day and each person attending the luncheon will receive a free Las Vegas 51s hat. All gratuities received by the players as well as all other proceeds from this event will benefit Candlelighters For Childhood Cancer. A raffle will also be conducted during the luncheon. Raffle tickets will cost $5 each or six for $20. The 51s organization will donate items for the raffle. The 51s will also contribute autographed baseballs, bats and a team signed jersey.

"We are excited that we could team up again with Carrabba's for such a worthy cause," 51s President & General Manager Don Logan said. "The 51s franchise strives to be a community partner. We are delighted to help benefit the Candlelighters For Childhood Cancer."
