- THROWS: Fastball, Curveball, Slider, Changeup

- SCOUTING REPORT: Padres Director of Player Development, Sam Geaney in Oct. 2017 to MadFriars.com, "because he's from a relatively small (neighborhood) in Colombia he may have gone a little under the radar. Going back to 2016 we were very excited about him. He's an athletic 6-foot-1, has four very strong pitches and can get his fastball up to 95. In a way, he's like MacKenzie (Gore) in that both are two of the more athletic pitchers that we had at the complex this summer (2017). He's grown a little (since signing) and maybe will some more, so it's too early to state what he is going to be long-term; but right now, we like what we see. If you want a comp, he reminds you of the more athletic pitchers that you will see in terms of Mike Leake or Jake Peavy. But remember, I'm not saying he is going to have the careers they did, but he is the same type of premium athletic pitcher... He's also learned a tremendous amount of English in the two years that we have had him.
