Lansing Lugnuts News Release
LANSING, Mich. - In conjunction with the Toronto Blue Jays, Lansing Lugnuts outfielder Reggie Pruitt has been placed on the 7-day Disabled List retroactive to May 15th and outfielder Brandon Polizzi has been transferred to the Lugnuts from Extended Spring Training.
The 22-year-old Polizzi was drafted out of Cal State Dominguez Hills, the same D-II program that produced former Lugnut and current Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Kevin Pillar, in the 35th round last season. He batted .357 (10-for-28) in seven games with Adv. Rookie Bluefield in his professional debut before moving up to Short-Season Vancouver for 38 games, where he hit .198 with one home run and six stolen bases.
The official Lugnuts roster is attached, with the maximum 25 active players and eight players on the Disabled List.
The Eastern Division-leading Lugnuts (25-13) return to action tonight with the third game of a seven-game homestand, playing the Dayton Dragons at 7:05 p.m. at Cooley Law School Stadium.
